Kansas City History Series, Country Club Plaza Past and Present
Thanksgiving Day, the neighborhood will be packed with people waiting for the yearly tradition of the holiday lighting ceremony. As part of our continuing Kansas City History Series, Monroe Dodd joins us to tell us about the history of the Country Club Plaza, more often called simply, “The Plaza.” From its early inception to its current state, Dodd tells us how the area has changed over the years, and discusses the role the neighborhood has played and continues to play in our city. He also weighs in on both the strengths and shortcomings of the neighborhood.
