Making Cars Safer for Children
After a traumatic experience brought one Kansas City woman face-to-face with the reality that a lack of safety features on vehicles can mean life or death in some situations, she is determined to do something about it.
Steve Kraske talks with Janette Fennell, founder and president of Kids and Cars, a nonprofit that has led to safer cars in America.
With victories like getting the government to require glow-in-the-dark trunk releases in vehicles, Fennell talks about improvements that still need to be made to vehicles. And she will expand on what motivates her to keep pushing for reform.
